LookFantastic X Everyday Duo Bags
Over the Past few months from 2021 into 2022 I've been fortunate to be selected as a LookFantastic as a student ambassador. During this period I've been able to review so many new beauty and care products, and the only crux in this is... I am definitely not an MUA or a beauty influencer! However I did find a new appreciation for the importance of cosmetics & the effect it has in self-care within our everyday lives...... And how all this inspired a brand new design!
So Who Are LookFantastic ?

They are driven towards supplying an amazing customer experience, alongside education and knowledge on their blogs and profiles on how to use their range of products, ( and I'm always eager for a bit of guidance).
When I was initially approached by LookFantastic I was so hesitant to get involved with beauty and styling, but something that made me pause, was their diverse range of brands held addressing needs to different ethnic groups. Being a black women a product that I'm always looking for is hair care! Typically I often order and search for items from amazon or eBay, but I was pleased to see how they had specific search categories for my afro / textured hair and stocked some of my favourite brands already such as Shea Moisture & Cantu ( I know these brands are sometimes questionable 😅 but they work well for me!)
From this I was able to start embracing the ideas, of beauty and styling not solely being about creating looks and dressing for those standout and important life moments, but just the everyday aesthetic. The products we all use frequently just to get us up, ready, out of the house and into the world!

INSPIRATION towards the Everyday Duo Bags
So from this journey with LookFantastic and Becoming re-energised with the importance of beauty regimes as self-care, I then felt motivated to design a new product which matched this new alignment. ( And not only because I needed new storage to hold all these new products!) .
With my designs for BijouCREATES I am personally very inspired to create simple but beautiful products that integrate and support various aspects of our already existing routines. Introducing African wax prints into a more casual and commonplace usage.
Introducing the Everyday DUO bags.
This Duo set comes with two separate bags, the vegan leather piece with the minimal print detail and the PVC covered full print bag. The aspiration of this duo two bag set is for each bag to be used for either dry or wet products. The plastic coated case being great for bathroom use or travel, preventing liquids from spilling in your suitcase. Both bags coming with a smooth satin lining.
These sets are currently available in four vibrant new prints! Throughout the rest of this month I will be working with some of my close friends to bring to you each print and showcase some of their everyday routines. Putting the bags to active use, alongside some fab Lookfantastic beauty box products!
Introducing my BijouCREATES _ Everyday Girls!
These girls are all, busy, dynamic, working and educational pursuing , WOC., like myself and I thought it was so important to explore how they also use beauty as self-care in their hectic lives and how these new designs interact with their current everyday routines.
So I am so excited with the release of this mini collection I think its the perfect little addition for spring! So be sure to stay posted to learn more about these wonderful ladies and a little snapshot into the usage fo these new bags.
Final Note...
To be honest I still think I'm definitely not beauty influencer, and I don't think I ever truly will be . But what I do think, is that beauty and self care regimes or routines is something we all do naturally whether we know it or not, and taking the time care for yourself thoughtfully is something that should always be encouraged! Especially in these hectic times, its not something that should be exclusive or only reserved for only big moments, or even when you're out and on "display". Finding small everyday luxuries to treat and care for yourself everyday is always a win, whether that's a quick weekend hair mask or an extra face scrub in the morning any thing that makes you feel good and investing in the tools that help us individually achieve that.
Finding ways to support that through my designs and creations is something that I'm most definitely leaning more and more into this year!
