In this second feature of the Everyday Duo bags and look Fantastic Beauty Boxes, I'm supper excited to introduce Sophia.
She is a fellow architect-in-training and we studied together at Cambridge university in Lucy Cavendish College.
For this feature it was great to work with Sophia as no one can empathise more with the hetic-ness of academic / work / social life balance as much as a fellow busy student , especially another architect!
In her routine Sophia talks us through how she also loves to use skin care as a form of self care to take break or reward herself in small ways in during particularly stressful times and take a break from work!

What does everyday fashion mean to you?
For me everyday fashion is about comfort and function. Comfort doesn’t always need to be unstylish but it definitely has to make the day easier. Clothes that don’t fit right or don’t make you feel your best tend to affect your day, and with most days already being full-on I want clothes to support me and not get in the way. Items of clothing that never fail me tend to provide that comfort- my bottomless handbag, my gold hoops, my jacket with just the right amount of pockets.
How would you define your everyday style?
Definitely bohemian, relaxed and lived-in. I love finding vintage pieces and incorporating classic accessories- usually lots of denim and suede. I would describe it as a relaxed look with an emphasis on natural fabrics and earth tones.
What’s an item or something about your personal fashion / cultural fashion which influences your style today?
For me growing up with my grandmother, I always adored jewellery, especially gold. I would go scavenger hunting through her jewellery drawers and most of what I wear today is from her. I think being Pakistani we also love ornate things and more is definitely more in our case. So that has influenced me to always look for unique pieces and embellish what would ordinarily be a very simple style.
