During my time at university I was fortunate to find myself living out my dream, studying architecture at UCL a world class institution. I found that I was thrown into a new world of meeting so many new people, new experiences but also under immense academic pressure and a heavy workload. Studying architecture, I would often travel with my laptop and would worry about it getting damaged. My device was an unconventional size and I found it hard to find a case for it that would fit! I found myself quickly designing and creating a laptop case to protect my device, using scrap pieces of print cloth from a Sierra Leonean dress my mother had made for me that I had long outgrown and didn't fit me anymore. 

Carrying this bold print with me to lectures and throughout campus became a unique fashion statement, a conversation starter and a point of interest amongst my peers. Drawing interest to everyone who saw it, with them often enquiring after where I bought it. But personally, I found looking at the print reminded me of my culture and family and filled me with courage during those late university nights and hard times. Looking at the warm vibrant West African prints reminded me of home and strength which I took with me to the end of my degree.

It's from this initial design that I've developing my own products for professional use with a unique West African twist.My brand seeks to inspire people to be brave and aspirational with whatever their dreams are. To embrace their truest self through their heritage and culture by me doing the same and embracing my own.
