In my third and final feature for the Everyday Makeup Bag Duos, I am collaborating with my friend Erika. In this feature I talked with E all about how she creates her everyday quick but still glamorous makeup looks which are great to transition form busy summer days to fun-filled summer nights!
I met Erika whilst we both were studying at UCL and living in the same accommodation building for our first year! Now she is finishing her masters at LSE, whilst also balancing this with part-time work. I was eager to work with E due to no matter how busy her day is she always manages to pull of a flawless make up look! She express how she understands the importance of makeup, not only being a beautifying tool, but how a great beat face, can lift your mood and help you feel more prepared for whatever you have to take on that day!

What does everyday fashion mean to you?
To me, everyday fashion and style is a form of self expression and allows room for diversity. Personally, I prefer not to feel the need to follow trends, and will always go for what is comfortable for me and suits my own body type. What looks great on someone who looks different to me, may not necessarily look good on me, and that's okay. It's about understanding and knowing yourself and building your confidence and love for your body in the process.
How would you define your everyday style?
I would describe my everyday style as 'simple'. I feel at best when my outfits are classy, and it makes me feel like a woman.
What’s an item or something about your personal fashion / cultural fashion which influences your style today?
I think this is related to my Japanese culture - rooting from 'Japan minimalism' which is the concept that focuses on keeping life simple, clean, and uncluttered. My life can get chaotic with my postgraduate studies and working at the same time, so I've found that my everyday fashion and my bedroom decor style tend to be on the simple side.
