During my fieldwork period I discovered Gara-Dyeing. The significance of this historical form of fabric manufacture in Sierra Leone and throughout West Africa. I began to focus my research towards understanding more about the process of this handcraft, the intericacies around it and the possibilities for further adaption for people with disabilities.
